Corinth

Corinth sits in the pocket between Denton and the lake. Ten minutes to Lewisville Lake, a straight shot down I-35E toward DFW, and tucked far enough off the highway that you forget it’s there. Location does a lot of the work here — short hop north to Denton, easy run south to the Metroplex, and water access most people associate with towns twice the price.

The lay of the land

The city threads between Lake Dallas and Denton, with established tree-lined streets on the east side and newer pockets filling in toward the lake. I-35E carries you in and out, FM 2181 runs you up to Denton, and Lake Sharon Drive and Corinth Parkway handle most of daily life.

Getting around

Rough off-peak drive times from the middle of town:

• Denton Square — about 15 minutes
• Highland Village shops — about 10 minutes
• DFW Airport — about 30 minutes
• Downtown Dallas — about 40 minutes

One insider note: there’s no A-train stop in Corinth. The city passed on joining DCTA back in 2003, so the line opened in 2011 without a station here. A Corinth stop has been back on the table since 2019, but there’s no timeline yet — for now, the nearest boarding is in Denton or Highland Village.

Parks and the lake

• Commons at Agora — the town’s front yard: splash pad, boardwalk, a stage, and food trucks.
• Corinth Community Park — the big one. Baseball and softball diamonds, soccer and football fields, and trail access.
• Meadowview Park — pond, trail, and a basketball court.
• Corinth Unleashed — the bark park, with dog fountains.
• Lewisville Lake — the north shore is a few minutes east through Lake Dallas and Shady Shores.

Agora: the new center of town

For years Corinth didn’t have a middle. Now it does. Agora at Corinth is the city’s mixed-use district along I-35E — the Commons, an amphitheater for concerts and festivals, and room for restaurants, shops, and offices around it. New construction in Corinth

• Oak Ridge Park — quiet new builds a quarter mile off I-35E, between Lake Sharon and Swisher. Meritage, HistoryMaker and Windsor from the mid $300s, about 1.97% after homestead with no MUD or PID, and a roughly $700-a-year HOA.

The tax read

The city’s portion of the property tax rate is $0.56603 per $100 in the FY 2026-27 budget, up from $0.53709 the year before. That’s just the city — county, school district, and college district rates stack on top, and which school district shows up on your bill depends on which side of town you’re on. The market read

Corinth is largely built-out, so inventory leans toward resale rather than new construction — which means when something well-positioned hits the market here, it tends to move. If you want lake proximity without the Flower Mound price tag, this is the value play.
