Flower Mound
Trails, the Cross Timbers, and a town that planned its way to the top of the county.
Flower Mound earned its reputation the deliberate way — through decades of master planning, protected green space, and one of the most extensive trail networks in the region. It’s the established benchmark on the southern edge of Denton County.
The lay of the land
The town wraps around its namesake mound and stretches between Grapevine Lake to the south and the Cross Timbers to the west. FM 1171 (Cross Timbers Road) and FM 2499 carry most of the movement.
What anchors it
The Flower Mound trail system, Twin Coves Park on Grapevine Lake, the Parker Square and Lakeside districts for dining and shopping, and quick access to DFW Airport. The River Walk at Central Park is the newer mixed-use centerpiece.
The market read
This is one of the steadier, higher-demand submarkets in the county, with a mix of established neighborhoods and pockets of newer construction toward the west. Inventory moves, and well-prepared listings here set the pace.
